Geisha Inspired

When I was a child, my mother told me I was born smiling. I was always reaching out with love, always curious, always unafraid to look directly into the world. I held onto that. But growing into a woman meant learning that softness can be misunderstood, and beauty can be a weapon as much as a gift.

I found a mirror in the figure of the Geisha. Women who turned discipline into art, who lived in ritual and silence, who created power in spaces where power was denied to them.

The pieces in this collection are my own translation of that reflection.

Black and white - the colours of restraint, of truth, of life pulsing beneath the surface.
The Kagami pieces are born of shadow - mirrors of midnight. Here discipline meets desire. They are armour disguised as elegance, created for moments when presence must be undeniable.

The Komorebi pieces arrive like breath after battle. It is a ight breaking through branches, movement catching sun and air. They are fluid, intimate, fleeting, created for moments when beauty is allowed to simply exist.

Together, they are not opposites, but one whole.

Every woman carries duality within her. Strength and tenderness, night and morning, silence and laughter.

Kagami teaches that power can be feminine. Komorebi teaches that fragility is also strength.

This is personal to me. This dialogue between the girl who was told she was all light, and the woman who had to learn shadow.

SOVIIKAA’s story is not a season. It is the rhythm of light and shadow and a continuum that mirrors every woman’s inner world.

Wearing this collection is a reminder that femininity is not passive - it is a weapon, a language, a form of resilience.
